Mustaches, no matter how basic, require patience and dedication to grow and maintain.
Every two years the cream of the mustachioed, bearded, and mustachioed AND beared crops gather to compete in the World Beard & Moustache Championships. Here you see two of last year’s winners: Juhana Helmenkalastaja from Finland (top) won first place in the Dalí Moustache category. Jeffrey Moustache (bottom) took second place in the English Moustache category. Jeffrey, whose last name really is Moustache, is a member of the Northern Los Angeles Beard and Moustache Club, a local chapter of Beard Team USA. These gents are serious about their cookie dusters.
By the way, the 2012 Beard Team USA National Beard and Moustache Championships will take place on Sunday, November 11, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Better buy your plane tickets soon!
For those of you waiting for the bigger show, the 2013 World Beard and Moustache Championships will take place on November 2, 2013, in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany.
Here Angus, some ‘staches you can aspire to… :D
